Every week we dedicate a few hours to spend some time with young people playing hockey and hanging out with them. Every Monday night, we run a session for high school age teens and elementary school age kids. We started our third ?season? this fall and we have averaged around 25-30 kids a night. Depending on how many people come out, we split the group in teams and have mini tournaments with playoffs and even shootouts! We also incorporate a short talk during a break halfway through the night during which we try to engage these young people in conversations which deal with real-life issues. It's an open environment where all are welcome and although floor hockey is the main reason we get together, anyone who just wants to come and hang out with us at the snack bar is more than welcome.
