Youth for Christ is nondenominational and has staff members, board members, and volunteers from several different denominations. The priority in locating workers is to find individuals who love teens, and who have committed to following Jesus. Each local Youth for Christ chapter is an autonomous member of Youth for Christ Canada which upholds standards for training and accreditation. A local governing board is recruited to operate the ministry.finances The work and ministry is funded purely on donations. Staff raise personal support from individuals and churches as does the general fund.
